Jiquelite is just in the next bay south of Popoyo. Popoyo is well known in the surfer community and thus a little bit more crowded. The big dirt road that we took down from Managua is about to be finished and paved. So everything will change here in a couple of years , i suspect. But for now, it is paradise.

We rented a small house right by the beach ,

and after 3 days of heavy heavy rains , which did not stop us from exploring, but like i said, it did rain a lot…

(And here a quick shout out to the mighty Lorenzo! Check it out !)

the sun finally came back out! Which gave us a whole range of things to do, like a Floyd fotoshoot on the beach for example:

Or go for walks to discover wonders beyond our wildest imagination.
Like bees that look like wasps

or reading princesses,

or bulls

or marvelous furry canyons

or nice shells

or sleeping beach dragons

or beautiful stones

or heavy lifters

or just weird shapes that defy explanation

At this point i have to give a huge shout out to Ama for recommending me one of the best books i have read in a long time: „The Name of the Wind„ by Patrick Rothfuss
Whether it is:
The cocky, self centered, black tempered, Sturm und Drang character that every young and the well spirited old man can identify with.
Or the condition the archiv keeper gives that character to regrant him access…
Or the scene in which he plays his instrument after a long time and plays a heartbreaking song in front of an audience who is just as hypnotized as the reader.
It is elegant, lyrical, poetic, full of hidden meanings, foreshadowing and cleverly concealed connections.
Thanks Ama ! You nailed it! Im just glad its only the first one 🙂
And while reading and having Pineapple smoothies at the Happy Coconut,

you can also meet the people who live here. More about them next.
