Driving south from Mazatlan we entered Nayarit pretty quickly. For 200 or maybe 300 kilometers all we saw was fruit farms.

Even though we are just on the other side of the Sea of Cortez vegetation is completely different. Everything is covered in lush green. Pineapples, coco palms, weird flowers we have never seen and tons and tons of mangos and jackfruit !

It was nice to be surrounded by so much green after the desert but we didn’t expect this! It almost has a carribean vibe.
We stoped in the little town of Aticama for lunch and a quick dip in the sea.

Everything is incredibly cheap here. A Tostada with fish or shrimp is 10 pesos here. 21 pesos is 1 Euro.
After lunch we entered the nice region of:

Shout out to the girls!
And found an abandoned rodeo arena.

And tons of fruit shacks on the way. Small piece of paradise.

Sayalito was the next stop. It is a nice little surfer town but it is extremely crowded and a little too hip for us.

So quick dip in the sea and the, now traditional, evening beer ( weapon of choice is Pacifico btw) before we headed to San Francisco just 10 minutes north of Sayalito to find a place to stay. It was getting dark and yes the original plan was to get to Puerto Vallarta but driving at night on these roads is stupid, dangerous and you can not see anything.
When buying water in an Oxxo we found this:

Kiss to Lala!
We will probably skip Puerto Vallarta now. I mean we have Tequila on the way to:
….wait for it …
