Michoacán —> Guerrero

After our magical day we woke up happy campers. Happy but tired campers , not because of a lack of sleep, just because it is all a lot to take in.

So we said we would take it slow and not drive for more then 5-6 hours today.

It took us around 2 hours to get to the Guerrero border . The scenery stayed the same. Unbelievably beautiful bays and beaches paired with fruit plantations.

Right after the unnoticeable state border to Guerrero we saw a Guardia Nacional car. And then it hit us. We had not seen Police, Guardia Nacional nor Military since Guadalajara.

Maybe cause the locals do not want them there, maybe because they just cant be asked to drive hundreds of kilometers through fruit plantations. We just dont know.

Usually military check points are quite common everywhere in Mexico. Also Guardia Nacional is omnipresent, so is the local police.

To be fair we were rather happy in hindsight, since the last time we were in Mexico we had to pay the local police 3 times. Just for being potentially gringo 🙂

It is better to avoid any authorities here, as we now all know after our harbour debacle.

Quick pit stop at Playa Azul for a dip. The beach was not as azul as expected so the bad picture doesnt really matter.

Mango snack was good though!

We realized we just wanted to calm down a little so after another couple of hours we found this nice little hotel.

38 euros a night. We take it! Kolibris , a fan and a nice beach right in front.

The tiniest corona in the world and to bed we went at like 20.30…
