El viaje

After having finished my earlier post we got back in the car.Having a decision made, we turned up the volume on that radio and blasted towards Guatemala! But wait , fuck , where is my phone…

I stopped on the highway and we had a thorough search. Nothing. We tried to call from Lus phone. No one picked up..

So back to the 20 minutes away parking spot near the cathedral.

I immediately remembered writing something unfriendly about the saint in front of that church. Maybe instant punishment?

We went back and nothing on the street…

The carwash boys from the corner saw nothing, had nothing. The guy from the store in front of the parking spot neither.

But while i am trying to connect my computer via Lus phone hotspot , Steve calls Lu. “ Jojojojo, i just talked to an old lady who found your phone! What are you doing you idiot, do you know how lucky you are? You are in Villahermosa…”

So we call my phone again. And Jesus answers. I am not kidding. The son of the lady who found my phone is called: Jesus.

So we drive to their house.When we got in the car, Spirit in the Sky started randomly playing from our 20.000 song stick…

Jesus and his mum live about 8 minutes away from the cathedral and it turns out she found my phone on the street in front of the church.

Right were i had earlier called the saint ,evil as can be…

I tried to give them money, when they didnt want that, i offered a papaya we had , then our mezcal. They wanted nothing.

We had a quick chat and they had been to Germany before. And if they ever come back, they will have a place to stay!
