Lu’s last day (for now)

We were not sure were to go exactly but with the weather being the way it was, we thought it clever to stay somewhere close to the airport. So we headed back up north toward La Libertad.

The country side basically looked exactly like the Voralpenland, not only because tons of Swiss and Germans settled here.

Slightly set apart we decided we needed to test the local lake despite obvious crocodile danger!

So we went and scouted around a bit

Safe!

Splash!

The water was cold but nice and even though we did see any crocodiles we still shat our non existent pants a little. So all the happier when we got out.

Next mission was the highly appraised german bakery. We saw at least 15 of these signs on the road. We just had to go…

When we arrived there was an old American who was stationed in one of the Airforce bases in Germany for a while who insisted taking a picture of us in front of the bakery. He messed up though , the entire point was to get the bakery sign on the pic…

We did not check early enough so this is the pic that remains. I does not matter though because we i found some nice stickers outside of the bakery.

And my favorite:

The bakery itself wasnt much to write home about. We both had a ham and cheese croissant which was not particularly good nor particularly German…

It started drizzling again and after a while we arrived at our weird forest cabin hotel.

Which was a bit surreal:

But it did have natural:

So after exploring them a bit

We obviously had do endulge. So we did!

Overpriced and bad dinner afterwards but it did not matter because happy campers.

The next morning we packed our bags as best we could and went to check the local waterfall before going to the airport.

Some mysterious wood spirit on the wat back

And a very cool lizard we have never seen before

And obviously some mushrooms

We had a quick , this time yummy, lunch

Before going to the airport.

And this is the last time i saw my lovely wife….

It feels weird not having her around.

The last 2 month were wonderful and we spend every single day with eachother. So i obviously do miss her.

But i will have her back soon!

Safe travels Hasenherz♥️
